SP/10 Statement: Spring/Summer 2010 is derived from a powerful short story character, Charlie. A women who lives in a lonely world of her own she calls Triangle Gardens. During Charlie's hidden life at Triangle Gardens she is obsessed with two things, planting vegetables & men. Like a ghost, she makes her way into the city daily to plant & sow. Carrots, peas, peppers & melons adorn her world. Charlie concludes, finding peace in her self made tropical paradise, "a world that defies explanation." |
